1. About the service
Pokékipe ("the service") is a free online statistical analysis service for the Pokémon video game, focused on the Pokémon Showdown and Pokémon VGC ecosystems. It offers usage data, recommended sets, tournament history, and teambuilding tools.
Pokékipe is an independent project, not affiliated with The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, Smogon, or any other trademark holder mentioned on the site. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
2. Data sources
Usage statistics come primarily from public Smogon Stats files. Official VGC tournament data comes from public sources (Pokemon.com, pokedata.ovh, Limitless TCG). Pokémon technical data (sprites, types, abilities) comes from PokeAPI and Pokémon Showdown. Pokékipe adds a visualization and aggregation layer on top of these sources without altering the original content.
3. User account
Account creation is optional. You are responsible for the confidentiality of sessions linked to your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when registering
- Not use a third-party's account without authorization
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. See our privacy policy.
4. Prohibited behavior
By using Pokékipe, you agree not to:
- Attempt to compromise the security of the service (injection, abusive scraping, denial of service)
- Automate requests beyond reasonable human use
- Exploit the service for commercial purposes without prior authorization
- Publish illegal, defamatory, or rights-infringing content (notably in usernames or team descriptions)
- Bypass technical protection measures (rate-limiting, moderation, etc.)
Failure to comply may result in suspension or deletion of your account without prior notice.
5. Support (Premium)
Pokékipe offers a financial support option ("Premium") allowing users to contribute to the costs of the service. This contribution is voluntary and does not unlock paid-only features: all features remain freely accessible to everyone. Supporters may receive cosmetic perks or community recognition.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. You can cancel your support at any time from your account area. No refund is owed for the current period except in case of prolonged service interruption.
6. Advertising
Pokékipe may display ads from third-party networks (notably Google AdSense) to fund service operations. These ads are served in accordance with your consent choice (see our privacy policy). Pokékipe does not endorse the content of displayed ads and is not responsible for products or services promoted therein.
7. Intellectual property
Pokékipe's source code, design, editorial content, and data aggregations are the property of the site publisher unless otherwise noted. Pokémon names, sprites, types, abilities, and other elements of the Pokémon universe remain the property of The Pokémon Company / Nintendo / Game Freak and are used for informational purposes and amateur competitive play.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Pokékipe cannot be held liable for:
- Competitive decisions made based on displayed statistics
- Temporary service unavailability
- Loss of user data in the event of failure, beyond reasonable backup measures
- Content of third-party sites linked from the service
9. Service changes
Pokékipe may evolve its features, design, or support pricing at any time. Major changes will be communicated via the homepage or notification.
10. Changes to terms
These terms may be modified. The date of last update appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls under the jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
