O design fact da Gen 6

Em resumo

Gen 6 reset da franquia competitivo baseline. Mega Evolution, the Fairy type, and the weather nerf produziu a meta that looked nothing like da Gen 5 permaweather environment.

The shift was deliberate. Game Freak's decision to nerf weather habilidades and add a hard counter to Dragon-types reset the offensive ceiling that BW2 had reached. Mega Evolution restaurado a one-shota transformation pattern, but bound to one Pokémon por time for the entire match.

Mega Evolution e Primal Reversion

One Pokémon por time Mega-Evolves uma vez por batalha. The transformation is bound to a held Mega Stone, no Mega Stone, no Mega, and persists for the rest of the match.

Mega Evolution is da franquia first persistent transformation mechanic. Diferente de Z-Moves (single-turn) or Dynamax (three turns) introduzido later, a Mega-Evolved Pokémon stays Mega until it faints or the battle ends. The held Mega Stone é consumido at activation and cannot be transferred during battle.

A única regra que sustenta tudo

Only one Pokémon por time may Mega-Evolve por batalha, and only if it holds the matching Mega Stone. The choice is committed at team preview, every other slot must work around the Mega's typing, habilidade, and stat changes.

  • Persistência, forma Mega persists until the Pokémon faints or the match ends. Switching out keeps the forma Mega.
  • Limite, one Pokémon por time por batalha. The Mega Stone cannot be transferred.
  • Mudança de stats e habilidade the Pokémon's stats redistribute, its habilidade changes (Mega Charizard X → Tough Claws, Mega Charizard Y → Drought), and sometimes its typing changes (Mega Charizard X ganha Dragon, Mega Pinsir ganha Flying).

O que a Mega Evolution muda

Mega Evolution alters three properties simultaneamente: stats, habilidade, and (in many cases) typing. The combination produz a fundamentally different Pokémon during battle enquanto keeping the moveset locked in at team preview.

Mega Evolution vs Primal Reversion

ORAS introduzido Primal Reversion, a parallel transformation mechanic exclusive to Groudon (Red Orb) and Kyogre (Blue Orb). Functionally similar to Mega Evolution but with critical rules differences.

Mega

Mega Evolution, maioria dos Pokémon

  • Elegibilidade

Linhagem Pokémon específica + Mega Stone correspondente (Charizardite, Lucarionite, etc.).

  • Limite

Um por time, por batalha. A ativação consome o slot de Mega do time.

  • Propriedades

Changes stats, habilidade, and (often) typing. Stays Mega until faint or end of battle.

  • Supressão de habilidade

Pre-Mega habilidade does not trigger on entry, Mega habilidade activates at Mega-Evolution.

Primal (ORAS)

Primal Reversion, Groudon / Kyogre

  • Elegibilidade

Apenas Groudon (Red Orb) e Kyogre (Blue Orb).

  • Limite

Não consome o slot de Mega. Um time pode ter uma Mega E uma Primal simultaneamente.

  • Propriedades

Massive stat boosts + new habilidades (Desolate Land for Groudon, Primordial Sea for Kyogre).

  • Clima

Sets permanent weather enquanto active, Sun (Groudon) or Rain (Kyogre), overriding the 5-turn rule.

Os três usos estratégicos da Mega Evolution

Wallbreaker

Teto ofensivo explosivo

Mega-Evolve a Pokémon whose output ofensivo rises significantly, Mega Charizard Y (159 SpA + Drought), Mega Mawile (105 Atk × Huge Power = effective 210), Mega Salamence (145 Atk + Aerilate). Reserve the slot Mega for the team's highest-impact breaker.

Defensivo

Tornar-se inmatável

Mega-Evolve a Pokémon whose defensive output rises, Mega Slowbro (180 Def + Shell Armor), Mega Venusaur (105/123/120 with Thick Fat), Mega Latias (130/100/120 with Levitate). The slot Mega se torna a defensive wincon em vez de an offensive one.

Mudança de Speed

Superar o formato

Mega-Evolve into a Speed tier the team needs. Mega Lopunny ganha 135 Spe + Scrappy. Mega Manectric ganha 135 Spe + Intimidate. Mega Pinsir ganha 105 Spe + Aerilate. The slot Mega can also reposition the Pokémon's priority bracket.

O tipo Fairy e o rebalanceamento da tabela

Gen 6 added Fairy as da franquia 18th type, the first new type since Dark and Steel arrived na Gen 2, and rebalanced the existing chart to absorb it.

Tipo Fairy, perfil defensivo

  • Fraco contra Steel, Poison
  • Resiste a Bug, Fighting, Dark
  • Imune a Dragon, a entrada que reformulou Singles competitivo
  • Super-efetivo contra Dragon, Fighting, Dark

Edições na tabela de tipos

Dragon agora fraco contra FairyDragon-types lose their previous status as a near-uncounterable offensive type. Fairy walea Dragon at the type level.
Steel não resiste mais a GhostGhost-type wallbreakers (Aegislash, Gengar) gain neutral coverage on Steel walea.
Steel não resiste mais a DarkDark-type wallbreakers gain neutral coverage on Steel walea. Knock Off, in particular, se torna universal coverage.
Knock Off rebuffeadoPower aumentou to 65 BP + 1.5× boost when removendo an item, mais usado move na Gen 6 OU by a wide margin.

A resposta da Game Freak foi um counter hard that walea Dragon at the type level: a new defensive option that didn't exist before. The decision permanently rebalanced the offensive type meta of every gen since.

Baseline das mecânicas de batalha

Gen 6 changed two engine-level values that shaped the format: dano de hit crítico was reduzido from 2× to 1.5×, and habilidades que invocam weather lost their duração permanente.
