The Pokékipe team builder rates your squad in real time against the actual top 30 threats of the format you're building for. The threat panel scores hazard control, speed tier coverage, weather/terrain interactions, lead viability, Tera coverage and bulk thresholds, every value is weighted by the live monthly Smogon usage so you see how your team holds up against what people are actually picking, not a static list. For an in-depth walkthrough of the workflow see the team-building guides under /guides.

As you add Pokémon, the builder runs live threat analysis against the current metagame: it flags which top threats your team struggles with, scores offensive and defensive type coverage, and detects each member's role (sweeper, wall, pivot, hazard control, breaker). Complementary teammate suggestions are drawn from real co-usage data, not hand-curated lists.

Builds are format-aware — pick a tier and the threat list, speed benchmarks and suggestions all re-weight to that metagame. Paste an existing squad from Pokémon Showdown to analyze it instantly, or start from scratch and save the result to your Box. See /guides for step-by-step teambuilding frameworks.

Pokémon team builder FAQ

How does the threat meter work?

Every Pokémon you add is checked against the most-used threats in the selected format. The meter shows how many of those threats your current team has a reliable answer to, updated live as you edit.

Where do teammate suggestions come from?

From real co-usage data — the Pokémon that most often appear alongside yours on teams in that format — not editorial picks.

Can I build for VGC and Smogon formats?

Yes. The builder covers every tracked format — Smogon singles tiers, Doubles OU and the live VGC regulations — and re-weights its analysis to whichever you pick.

Can I import or export my team?

Yes. Paste a Pokémon Showdown export to analyze an existing team, and save or export any build to your Box or back to Showdown format.
